Salem State University wireless network connection

Article

How do I connect to the Salem State wireless network?

Use your university login and password to securely connect to the wireless network at Salem State.  Wi-fi is available on campus to anyone with a Salem State login – this includes students, faculty, staff and, administrators.

The wireless network on campus uses features of a Network Access Control (NAC) system to help secure our network by ensuring that all laptops and mobile devices that connect to SalemState have anti-virus installed and running, and have up to date anti-virus definitions. The system installs a connection agent on your device at the time of your first connection to the network to verify the device has up to date anti-virus and anti-spyware software, and to perform authentication and other compliance measures before allowing network access. Devices that are not up to date will not have access to the “SalemState” network.

NOTE: Mobile devices, such as phones, tablets do not require the agent.
